Photo Restoration

Currently, I am learning new photo editing tools in my Electronic Imaging course. Using PhotoShop, I restored this family photo for my Electronic Imaging class. There were many tools that I had to use to get this picture the way that I wanted it. The orange/yellow spots were removed with the clone stamp tool and paint brush. I cropped this image down to get rid of the burn marks on the top. The curves tool helped to make the image stand out more. Color wise, I wanted to keep the sepia color of this image so I used contrast tool to enhance it. This editing process took several hours for just one photograph. When it comes to restoring photos, a few hours of work can mean a family with a photograph that they will cherish for a lifetime. I love the results and plan to scan photos from my family albums and restore them!
